This Sound Art piece is based on a single set of field recordings that carefully overlays field recordings from the Lewellyn Hall massive Air filters, that sang to me one fine day while passing them in the basement of the building. They only have particular times when this "singing" happens: when the air input and output are equalising throughout the day. When it sings it is revelation in harmonics and the oscillation of sound. This piece forms the basis of the recordings for the recordings Out of Place [SO-SA03] which was produced in conjunction with the Out of place exhibition at the Drill Hall Gallery in Canberra. I felt the singing filters deserved its own album thus...
