It is with great pride, tinged with deep sadness, that we are releasing this commemorative nine sets of live recordings from the SoundOut festivals, as a tribute to our friend and colleague the superlative polymath artist Cor Fuhler, who passed away in July 2020 [may he Rest In Peace]. Since migrating to Australia in 2010, he has made a huge impact on our musical life world in Australia, and for that we will be eternally grateful. Viva la Cor.

These recordings are of his time playing at the SoundOut festival 2013–2019 with numerous artists [Sean Baxter (RIP); Monika Brooks; Guylaine Cosseron; Jim Denley; Evan Dorrian; Luc Houtkamp; Slawek Janicki; Kim Myhr; Mary Rapp; Clayton Thomas; Sabine Vogel; Millie Watson + and collective from 2019] . The set with Kim Myhr was originally a trio with the dancer Orfee Schuijt, however unfortunately we have no video of this, though she was integral to the performance.

There is also a brilliant trio set from 2012 on SoundOut recordings called F.A.N. with Cor Fuhler, Robbie Avenaim and Toshimaru Nakamura that you can listen to. soundoutrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/fan

We also pay tribute to the late great Sean Baxter who passed away suddenly this year [may he Rest In Peace] and he is heard in a quartet with Cor in a set from 2014. We had planned to invite both to the 2021 festival and we were totally gutted by the news of their passing.
